        It is not intended to serve as the basis for clinical, regulatory, investment,
        or business decisions. Use of this tool and its data is entirely at your own risk.
    

1. No Clinical or Regulatory Advice

trialcat aggregates publicly available data from ClinicalTrials.gov and presents it in summary form. It does not provide medical advice, clinical guidance, regulatory counsel, or investment recommendations. Nothing on this site should be construed as a substitute for professional judgment by qualified clinical, regulatory, or legal professionals.

2. Data Accuracy and Limitations

All data is sourced from the U.S. National Library of Medicine's ClinicalTrials.gov registry, a public-domain database maintained by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). trialcat does not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the underlying data. Known limitations include:

Enrollment rates are approximate. They are computed from protocol start dates and primary completion dates, which overestimate the enrollment duration for trials with long primary endpoints. These figures should be treated as rough benchmarks, not precise measurements.
Therapeutic area classification is heuristic. It is derived from MeSH term hierarchy mapping and may not match the sponsor's intended classification.
Device class information is not authoritative. When present, it is heuristically extracted from free-text descriptions. Authoritative device classification data is maintained by the U.S. FDA.
Data may be stale. ClinicalTrials.gov records are updated by sponsors on varying schedules. trialcat refreshes its database periodically but does not guarantee real-time accuracy.

3. No Warranty

This tool is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. The Real Cat AI Labs, Inc. and its contributors shall not be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of this tool or its data, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise.

4. Intended Use

trialcat is designed for:

Educational exploration of clinical trial enrollment patterns
Academic and nonprofit research into trial design and geographic distribution
General benchmarking and landscape analysis by industry professionals
Community benefit as a free, open-source public resource

It is not designed for, and should not be used as, the sole basis for:

Site selection decisions for clinical trials
Regulatory submissions or filings
Patient enrollment projections for budgeting or contracting
Investment or securities analysis

Professionals using trialcat data in any business context should independently verify all figures against primary sources and apply their own professional judgment. Use at your own risk.

5. Open Source

trialcat is open-source software released under the MIT License. The source code is available at github.com/Angiebio/trialcat. Contributions are welcome under the same license.

6. ClinicalTrials.gov Attribution

Data is sourced from ClinicalTrials.gov, a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health. ClinicalTrials.gov data is in the public domain and is not subject to copyright. This tool is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NIH, NLM, or the U.S. government.

7. Privacy

trialcat uses IP-based rate limiting to manage service quality. We do not sell, share, or retain personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary for rate limiting and basic usage analytics. We do not use tracking cookies. If you subscribe to our mailing list, your email is managed by our newsletter provider and subject to their privacy policy.
